Emily May Couture, Amelia - French lace, basque waist

I was the first bride to wear this current season dress in my September 2025 wedding (and I don’t think anyone has since - I ordered it about 3-4 months before it was available to order on their website and it took about 7 months to arrive). From Emily May Boutique in South Melbourne. The designer is Kelly Lin Couture. RRP $4,395 https://www.emilymaybridal.com/product/amelia/ Style: The pleats at front and back give it a coutured /basque waist look. There are two layers of the french lace - the layers soften the look, so it’s not too full on lace. A line fit, strapless gown, sweetheart neckline with modern peaks, back has a slight dip,lace covered buttons down back length. Description from boutique website: Pure romance in motion. Alterations: - had hem taken up. There is a long seperate piece of lace that goes from side seam to side seam that can be unpicked and sewn back on in one piece. So if you need hem adjustments this reduces your cost. - Waist - taken in and more boning added. The boning in the dress wasn’t super strong from the boutique so my seamstress added extra and it was phenomenal! So supportive and stayed up all night. Doing this at the waist meant it didn’t have to be super tight around my bust and create bunching. - Bust - taken in to my size with cups added (so easily removed) . Butterfly bustle added. I’ve included my measurements on the listing, note I took these after my honeymoon where I gained 1-2 kilos so might be an inch different to dress. Colour is ‘ivory’ but I found it closer to white. For example my shoes were white not ivory. Comes with optional detachable sleeves. I didn’t wear but you can see in Emily May stock images. Try on’s welcome in South Yarra.
