Charlie Brear, Emery Dress + Beaton Skirt

Charlie Brear Emery Gown + Beaton Skirt + Chiffon sleeves.

My dream dress for the longest time was Jessie Bush’s Wedding Dress from London, UK designer Charlie Brear. After I got engaged to my fiancé, I was on the hunt for this beautiful dress or something similar. Through my research, I found out that Jessie’s dress was custom made, so the odds of finding the same dress was slim. However, through my internet hunting I was able to find the Emery gown which I purchased from a bridal boutique in Ireland. It was a sample sale dress that was in perfect condition. In addition to the gown, I also purchased the chiffon sleeve from the same boutique. The sleeves were sample sale as well and had some imperfections. I then found the Beaton skirt from a bridal boutique in England which was part of an ex-sample sale. Once I had all of the pieces delivered to the States, I took it to a tailor to have fitted to me and sewn together. The chiffon sleeves and skirt were sewn into the gown. There are still some imperfections on the armpit of the sleeves due to the fabric being so fragile. But otherwise, the dress is in perfect condition. A zipper was added into the lace skirt for ease of wearing. The bust was taken in slightly to accommodate my size. I was so happy with how the dress came together. However, I ended up finding a different dress for an end of summer wedding that fitted my vision and style better. This gown is stunning and I hope will be perfect for another bride!
