Mermaid

I spent the entire day shopping around Charlotte with my mom, mother-in-law, and best friend for the perfect dress. I tried on at least 20 dresses, and this was our 5th and final shop of the day. I had put down a hold deposit at another boutique as a "maybe." The minute I tried this one on, I knew this was the one and so did my family and best friend. It just felt right - I felt beautiful and I couldn't wait for the day I walked down the aisle and my future husband saw it. I finally felt like a bride, and even though I tried on a size that was way too big and didn't even perfectly fit me yet, I knew this was the one!

It is so comfortable and lightweight - I hear brides complain constantly about how heavy their dresses are and how hot they felt and how they couldn't breathe. I didn't have any of those feelings - I felt comfortable and felt like I was wearing a regular dress I'd wear to any event. I felt confident and didn't worry about looking bloated if I ate too much - It hugged my body just right and although it's fitted, it didn't feel tight at all. I didn't have to wear any kind of Spanx or anything underneath to hold me in. I wore this in Mexico in July on a 90+ degree day and didn't sweat or feel uncomfortable at all!

Mon Bijou Wedding Dress - Size 4

Alterations: The dress was hemmed - I am 5'2" and wore flat sandals and the dress fell to the ground. The tailor also added a button for the bustle and extra buttons (inside only) to the back to make it easier to zip up.

Wore it to our wedding & love everything about it, like-new condition & I will have it professionally dry-cleaned. :)
