Trish Peng, Esther Gown

This stunning dress is up for sale! I purchased it second-hand (the photos and description are from the original seller). Sadly, when I took it to the tailor for alterations, I realised I’d made the mistake of not trying it on with heels — and I’m simply too tall for it 😭 I’m 172cm, and it fit perfectly barefoot, but as soon as I put heels on, it lifted at the bottom and gave a funny floating look. The dress is a size 18, but I’d say it would best fit a size 14–16. I’m a Kmart size 18 and it was a bit too tight across my back. The tailor did mention it would be easy to make wider out if needed. I’ve since repurchased the same dress brand new in a larger size (20) Trying it on: I’m based in Auckland if you’d like to try it on. I’ll also be in Wellington in late Jan and can potentially bring it with me for a try-on there. This dress truly is my dream gown, so I’m very sad to let it go. No obvious signs of wear and tear (I don’t think there is any at all). Features: • Snap buttons on the sleeves so it can be worn strapless (however the tailor recommended replacing the snaps with hooks for better movement) • Snap buttons at the back/ bottom of the dress so you can shorten the train • And yes — it has pockets! Alterations at Trish Peng cost $950- $1250. So it is a great bonus to have these already done!
