I bought this dress at The Mews Bridal in Notting Hill, London. It is by a french designer, Laure De Sagazan. It was the dress of my dreams, with its large, structured sleeves, elegant fluid skirt and open back. I wore it in June on a warm day and it was perfect, but given the texture of the bodice it could easily be a winter bridal dress.

Elegance, femininity, and romance are the ingredients used to create the Monceau dress. The fluidity of its skirt and the interplay of textures on its bodice complement each other in a thoroughly modern silhouette. Wool and silk sleeves frame a spectacular open back, while the fine silk crepe skirt features a subtle slit at the leg.

All designs are made to order in the Parisian atelier. The Mews ordered me a standard Size 8 and made the necessary alterations so it fit me perfectly. I'm usually a Size 6-8 in dresses, so alterations were made to bring in the waist and also raise the sleeves so they sat above my shoulders. We also shortened the hem - I'm 5ft 6 and you can see the length from the pictures. The dress could be re-altered to fit anyone from a UK6 to small UK10. The ribbon bow at the waist makes the dress somewhat adjustable.
