This is an exquisite dress with so many details. The sleeves are long, but sheer, and end with a slight flare. The lace is unlike anything I’ve seen and very intricate. There are even hidden pockets in the tulle hip area for a playful detail.

I chose to make some alterations to this dress so that it was less revealing and a bit more modest. I think the outcome was elegant and classic; please see those alterations below.

Spent an additional $380 to have the gown professionally cleaned and stored after wearing.

Alterations

Added lace flowers (from the portion of the dress removed in hemming) to the chest for more modesty
Hem shortened in front, train remains in back
Nude panel sewed into lower dress (from waist down) for increased modesty so that dress is not see through in lower portion (it otherwise was previously considered a peek-a-boo dress with very sheer lace coverage and no slip)
Some lace has also been added to the back bodice section of the dress to fill in the blank nude tulle area
Altered to fit my size 2 frame
