While I did not have the dress cleaned, there are no spills, no makeups stains, and I did NOT have a spray tan so the inside is clean. The bottom could use a light cleaning (or could be trimmed if you are shorter or want to eliminate the train length). It was extremely comfortbale and had the lovely ability to stretch.
