Stunning Love Story London 'Rene' gown in luxurious bevelled silk. Features custom detachable sleeves and a bustle—perfect for a modern bride wanting two looks in one!

I absolutely loved wearing this dress and I'm sad to see it go, but with a baby on the way, I’d love to see it find a new home sooner rather than later. Because of this, I am open to reasonable offers and would love to help another bride find her dream dress!

The Look & Style

Purchased in 2024 from Perfect Day Bridal in Bath, the 'Rene' is a minimalist's dream. It’s an A-line silhouette featuring a flattering V-shape back and a fitted bodice that feels incredibly secure.

Two Looks in One: It features delicate spaghetti straps and custom-made detachable off-the-shoulder sleeves. The bodice is supportive enough to tuck the straps in if you prefer a fully off-the-shoulder look!

The Fabric: The bevelled silk has a beautiful, high-end weight and a subtle glow that looks amazing in photos.

Fit & Alterations

The dress was professionally tailored by the experts at Sew Studios. While I don't have the technical record of every stitch, it was fitted to my measurements at the time:

Bust: 94cm

Waist: 82cm

Hips: 100cm (Very forgiving due to the A-line skirt)

Height: 5'4" wearing 3" heels (Total height 5'7")

I typically wear a UK street size 12/14. It fits very true to size for a UK 12 or a "small" UK 14. A discreet bustle was also added, making it perfect for dancing the night away.

Condition

The dress has been professionally dry cleaned (£200 value) and stored carefully indoors. It is in great condition with only very minor "wedding day" wear:

There is slight discolouration and one small mark at the very edge of the hem.

Note: Since I wore this at a total height of 5'7", these marks would likely be completely removed if you are shorter than me and need the dress hemmed.
