The Dress

This gorgeous Suzanne Harward 'Bronte' dress was so much fun to wear on my wedding day. This dress is from Suzanne Harward's Neo Victorian collection.

A beautiful hand made dress made of modern regalia lace and a nude/bone coloured pure silk lining, with a plunging v neck and back and front centre split. There is sheer mesh at the front and the back of the dress which holds the dress in place. There is a bustle attached to the back of the dress so it can be hooked up later in the evening, and there is also a wrist loop on the bottom on the dress.

The dress is in good condition and has been dry cleaned at Syndal's Bridal Dry Cleaners. There are some minor residual marks on the underside of the bottom of the dress. There is also a small hole in the mesh at the back of the dress, but this isn't noticeable.

I am typically a standard size 8 when buying off the rack, and the Suzanne Harward size 10 dress was a pretty perfect fit for me.

I am 165cm and wore 11.5cm heels (Tabitha Simmons Nora Heel). The dress was taken up at the hem very slightly, whilst maintaining the beautiful detailing on the bottom, so that it just skimmed the ground (i.e. without risk of me treading on the front and tripping over!).

I am a 10B/C and the shoulders were taken up slightly to make it a firmer fit for my height and the bust was taken in slightly too so that it didn't pucker. There are no cups in the dress, however cups could be stitched into the dress (or alternative the bust could be taken in further) if you have a smaller bust.

This dress is truly beautiful, yet was amazingly comfortable and easy to walk, sit and dance in. I will be sad to see it go, however I am confident it will bring someone else as much joy as it brought me.
